Drivers, who live or work in areas, where E-Mark standards are not recognized and need to abide by SAE standards, now have another option:

Built to last with 40 x 3W high lux CREE chips, a tough polycarbonate lens and
die-cast aluminum housing with a GoreTex breather, the light bar comes with SAE J581 certification.
This means that the Driver B2 (Part# N20P4D) is street legal* all over Canada and the US!
This allows for worry free, improved highway driving at night thanks to better lighting
– no matter where the road may lead you.
In order to be street legal*, the SAE certification mark on the lens alone is not enough. Your light also needs to be installed properly. This includes having your light wired into your vehicle’s high beam circuit, so that it will automatically turn off, when low beam mode is selected to accommodate oncoming traffic.
The extra light source is also to be mounted symmetrically below your vehicle’s headlights.
